First of all, please note that your computer is compatible with the SO-DIMM – 533Mhz (DDR2) memory.

In order to upgrade memory on your unit, then installation process can be found here.

Unfortunately, we have not any list for compatibility with non Sony
brands but we recommend you to check with your dealer if memory will be compatible if information can be found for this.

visto che ho l’abitudine di fregarmene di ciò che dicono sia i produttori che i centri di assistenza, rispondo alla sony dicendo che il portatile Sony vaio vgn-sz3 supporta perfettamente lo slot di ram da 1gb della Corsair – codice: VS1GSDS533D2.

Aggiungo anche che questo portatile monta uno slot da 1gb di ram Infineon, codice: 64T128021HDL3.7B
